Ziya means “radiance” — the robe is inspired by the meeting of oceans at the Cape of Africa, where waters converge in majesty and power. In the Qur’an, the seas are described as divine signs: “It is He who has released the two bodies of water, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.” (25:53). Ziya Blue becomes a meditation on the immensity of the oceans, the mystery of the unseen, and the serenity found in surrender to Allah’s majesty.

Ziya Blue draws from Britain’s naval heritage, interpreting maritime regalia through couture.
